Rick Anderson | Arne Breikjern | Ken Buchwitz | Dietz Engler | Gregg Miller
Marshall Oster | Ken Stahl | Kyle Trosen | Bob Tupa

Rick Anderson nominated by Scott Lundberg:
I was at Vinco in Fergus Falls this afternoon talking to Kelly Swanson. Kelly told me that he felt Rick was the best gear quotation guy that he deals with. He felt that Rick gave tremendously complete quotes and that makes a difference. To Rick: thanks for all that you do.

Arne Breikjern nominated by Kory Kooima:
He is just an outstanding partner to work with. Always cheerful and very willing to help. His
excitement rubs off, and I greatly appreciate him.

Ken Buchwitz nominated by Tom Rosendahl:
Ken Buchwitz has been a city desk employee owner for all of the 26 years that I have been in
Grand Forks. During this time, he has been called upon literally hundreds of times – after hours,
on weekends, evenings, late nights, early mornings, holidays, days off (vacations and sick days)
by our customers, our customers’ customers, DSG GF employees, other DSG branch employees
and others, to fulfill requests. Big orders, little orders, Emergency orders, no orders. Pick-ups, set
outsides, parcel posts and deliveries. Prices, quotations and requests have all been handled after
hours by Kenny. I don’t know of a single time that Kenny has ever said “No” or even hesitated to
help out a customer or fellow employee in not only their time of need, but often, their time of
want. Kenny has never looked for any sort of acknowledgement, praise or additional
reimbursement for these quite literally, weekly acts of employee ownership. Ask any employee
or customer of DSG Grand Forks, and they would concur that The Power of We, is alive and
well with Kenny B!

Dietz Engler nominated by Dan Miller:
I would like to nominate Dietz Engler for a Power of We award. I received an email from an
associate I had not met out of the blue and was very pleased to hear all the accolades he had for
Dietz. I also get similar comments from any of the other mechanical associates that Dietz works
with, and I think it is a good example of going the extra mile for the Power of We in DSG.

Dietz Engler nominated by Greg Lawrence at Genz-Ryan:
Just received another customer accolade in support of Dietz’s nomination for the Power of We
award. This note came from our customer at Genz Ryan.
Please make sure to let Dietz know that of all the suppliers I dealt with, he was the most
informative, helpful person when it came to any requests I had. He is a very valuable asset to
Dakota Supply Group.

Gregg Miller nominated by Charlie Leavitt:
Gregg Miller is wrapping up the Brooklyn Park location. He is personally involved in moving all of the inventory back to St. Paul, which includes long hours. Gregg is acting like an owner. We should all be proud of him!

Marshall Oster nominated by Randy Redinger:
Marshall is electrical inside sales, and I’m plumbing/mechanical outside sales, but he always has
time for me with my questions. Because of his long relationship with the Hutterite Colonies, he’s
been a great help to me in learning about them and how to approach and deal with them. Because
some of my accounts deal with electrical stuff too, I need help with electrical products from time
to time, and he is always very cheerful about spending as much time as I need in his office to get
my concerns addressed.

Ken Stahl nominated by Randy Gednalske:
Whenever I ask Ken for “special treatment” such as; putting material on the transfer truck to
Pierre after the cutoff time; coming in on the weekend to put material on the truck, so we can
have it on Monday morning; or even moving his schedule around, so we can have our transfers
first thing Monday morning; he has made our lives easier by making our customers happier. It
may seem to some as little things, but I truly appreciate Ken going the extra mile for us. Thanks
Ken.

Kyle Trosen nominated by John Rosell:
I would like to take this time to nominate Kyle Trosen. In the last couple of months, we here at
the Grand Forks branch have undergone a lot of great changes in the area of the warehouse. On
each and every occasion Kyle has been so very instrumental and helpful with his knowledge and
his physicality (I know I’m pushing it here). He is always more than willing to jump in and lend a
hand, and many times he takes the lead to help improve the overall effectiveness of the Grand
Forks warehouse. For instance, in the past our Cat 5 cable was located in several different
locations, with Kyle’s help, it is now a showcase to customers who come back looking around
the warehouse. In another instance, our filters used to be randomly located and they are now all
in one general area making picking them a much easier task. Lights that used to be upstairs that
were picked regularly have been moved downstairs so they are more accessible, improving
picking times so our customers are served in a much timelier manner. We are presently in the
process of locating our Square D and Weigman, and making the Grand Forks warehouse a site
for all to see. In all, Kyle Trosen shows and exemplifies the true spirit of the We in DSG, always
willing to go above and beyond his normal duties.

Bob Tupa nominated by Brian Feickert/Gratton Electric:
Bob Tupa, this is for a job well done!
My father-in-law in Northwood had Gratton Electric do some electrical work at his house. He
noticed Gratton had a bag of stuff with the DSG logo all over it, so he asked why Gratton did
business with DSG. Gratton stated that when he started out, DSG gave him a line
of credit with little hesitation, and DSG’s sales person contacts or calls him regularly, has great
support for him, and DSG as a whole has been great to do business with. Gratton
mentioned that another distributor did give a line of credit, but has never called on him, and by
all appearances, couldn’t care less. So, DSG is the only place he will work with.
